REGATA OF RÍO NEGRO. INFORMATION
FOR FOREIGN DELEGATIONS. For further information, you can visit the web site www.regatadelrionegro.com.ar. However, we list you below the more relevant requirements to consider: Participants: As the Regata of the Río Negro is an international competition, all those competitors who are memberships of the Argentinian Canoe Federation, and also all the National Canoe Federations which are memberships of the International Canoe Federation, are invited to participate in this marathon. Inscriptions: for the kayakers of other countries delegations, the inscription is free. The Organization will also afford up to two rent-free kayaks per country, transportation of the embarkations and competitors, and food for all of them, except of camping equipment that will have to be availed themselves by the participants. Nevertheless, to have access to this services, the competitors will have to be inscripted in the competition by their National Federation before 09 November 2007 as National Team. The inscription of kayakers from sport clubs of other countries Federations, could be anticipated directly by the person interested in the competition, but must be confirmed then by their respective Federations. Delegations must provide their kayakers of embarkations, transport during the whole competition, food and camping equipment. Regulations: the same rules from the International Canoe Federation which regulate Marathon Competitions. Languages: the official languages of the International Regata of the Río Negro are Spanish and English. Embarkations: will be able to participate in this competition, embarkations from Men Kayak Category (K2 Senior; K2 Juniors; K2 Mixed; K1 Senior; K1 Master) and Women Kayak Category (K2 Senior) Date: the 32º edition of the International Regata of the Río Negro will start on 12th January 2008 and will end on 19th January 2008. Journey: it will consist of six (6) laps: Day 12th Jan 2008: 1st Lap: NEUQUÉN – GENERAL ROCA – from 3pm to 6pm - Distance: 46.7km. Time 2007: K2 Senior 2hs.09’.03’’ Day 13th Jan 2008: 2nd Lap: GENERAL ROCA – VILLA REGINA – from 3pm to 6pm – Distance: 59.4km. Time 2007: K2 Senior 2hs.54’.12’’ Day 14th Jan 2008: 3rd Lap: CHIMPAY - CHOELE CHOEL – from 3pm to 6pm – Distance 59.6km. Time 2007: K2 Senior 3hs.04’.18’’ Day 15th Jan 2008: interval in CHOELE CHOEL Day 16th Jan 2008: 4th Lap: DOÑA RINA – GENERAL CONESA – from 3pm to 6pm – Distance: 43km.
